Dear Macdonough Families,

It is with great pleasure that I write to introduce myself as the new Principal of Commodore Macdonough Elementary School.  I am in the process of making my formal transition into this role and am truly looking forward to partnering with each and every one of you as the Macdonough teachers, staff and I support your child(ren) in reaching their fullest academic, social and emotional potential while enrolled here.

Throughout my tenure in Middletown, I have deeply admired the unique spirit of the Macdonough community. Your unwavering commitment to your children, your amazing flexibility in times of change, and your active partnership with the school are what make Macdonough so incredibly special. 

My leadership style is rooted in transparency, open communication, and shared collaboration. I believe that families are our absolute best partners in education, and your insights and experiences are invaluable to our shared success. I am eager to listen to your thoughts, celebrate your children’s milestones, and work hand-in-hand with you to elevate student outcomes and build upon the exceptionally strong foundation already in place.

Throughout the past week I have been settling into my new office and getting to know all that the building has to offer. Next week, I will be sharing details about an upcoming meet-and-greet, as I am truly looking forward to meeting our students and families in the very near future.
