Recently, Connecticut changed the birthday cutoff date from January 1 of any given school year to September 1 of any given school year.
How might this impact your child?
Children that enter kindergarten in the 2024-2025 school year must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024.
Children who turn 5 years old on or between September 2, 2024 to September 1, 2025, will enter kindergarten in the 2025-2026 school year.
